Cory George is an award-winning television personality, trauma expert, and advocate whose work bridges lived experience and professional insight to promote healing and awareness across communities. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, bullying, and the early loss of a parental figure, Cory has transformed his own pain into purpose—creating pathways of empathy, resilience, and education for others. His trauma-informed work addresses the needs of survivors of intimate partner violence, child maltreatment, and sexual assault, while amplifying mental health awareness for LGBTQ+ individuals and communities of color.

In 2023, Cory was honored with the U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteerism, recognizing his decades of service and dedication to community wellness. His curiosity toward understanding and respecting culture continues to shape his approach to trauma recovery and social advocacy. As the host of the award-winning talk show "1 On 1 with Cory George," recognized for its focus on minority mental health and wellness, he utilizes conversation as a tool for transformation. Through education, media, and community engagement, Cory creates spaces where awareness leads to healing and every story of survival fuels collective growth.
